Understanding Liquidation Rates
Liquidation rate is the percentage of the original debt that has been collected. For example:
- A 10% liquidation rate means $10 collected for every $100 in placed debt
- Industry standards typically range from 5% to 25% depending on debt type and age
- Fresh debt typically yields higher liquidation rates than older accounts
Setting Target Liquidation Rates
Target liquidation rates are set when creating or editing portfolios. This allows you to establish performance benchmarks specific to each portfolio based on factors like debt age, type, and quality.

To set or update a target liquidation rate:
- Navigate to Clients & Portfolios in the main menu
- Select the client and locate the portfolio
- Click the edit icon for the portfolio
- Enter the desired percentage in the Target Liquidation Rate field
- Click Save to apply the new target
The target rate will then appear in the Portfolio Dashboard report, allowing you to compare actual performance against your expectations.
