Navigation Basics ​

This guide explains how to navigate through the DebtRecoup interface and move between different areas of the system.

Moving Between Accounts ​

Using Navigation Arrows ​

  • Previous Account: Click the left arrow or press the left arrow key
  • Next Account: Click the right arrow or press the right arrow key
  • Account Counter: Shows your current position (e.g., "2 of 510000")

Direct Navigation ​

  • Search Bar: Type account number, debtor name, or phone number
  • Account Lists: Click any account in the list view to open it
  • Recent Accounts: Browser back/forward buttons work with account history

Keyboard Shortcuts ​

  • Arrow Keys: Move between accounts
  • Tab: Move forward through fields
  • Shift + Tab: Move backward through fields
  • Enter: Activate selected button or link
  • Escape: Close modal windows

Quick Actions ​

  • Ctrl/Cmd + F: Focus search bar
  • Ctrl/Cmd + S: Save current form
  • Spacebar: Toggle checkboxes

Interface Navigation ​

Top Navigation Tabs ​

Click any tab to switch between different account views:

  • All: Complete account inventory
  • New Accounts: Recently added accounts
  • Hot List: Marked priority accounts
  • Call Backs: Scheduled callbacks
  • Work By: Custom filtered lists
  • By Payments: Payment-based sorting
  • Good Numbers: Verified contacts
  • Skips: Accounts needing skip trace
  • Calendar: Date-based view
  • AI: AI-powered features

Account Detail Tabs ​

Click tabs at the bottom to view different information:

  • Each tab displays different data about the current account
  • The tab content appears in the lower section
  • Some tabs may have sub-tabs or additional navigation

Many actions open modal windows:

  • Opening: Click the action button
  • Closing: Click Cancel, X, or press Escape
  • Saving: Click Save or Send button
  • Navigation: Tab through fields within modals

Search Functionality ​

  1. Click in the search bar or press Ctrl/Cmd + F
  2. Type your search term
  3. Press Enter or click the search icon
  4. Results appear in the account list

Search Options ​

  • Account Number: Full or partial match
  • Debtor Name: First, last, or full name
  • Phone Number: Any format
  • Social Security Number: If permissions allow

Search Tips ​

  • Search is not case-sensitive
  • Partial matches are supported
  • Recent searches may appear as suggestions
  • Clear search to return to previous view

List Navigation ​

Scrolling Through Lists ​

  • Mouse Wheel: Scroll up and down
  • Page Up/Down: Move by page
  • Home/End: Jump to start or end
  • Click and Drag: Select multiple items

Sorting Lists ​

  • Column Headers: Click to sort by that column
  • Sort Arrows: Indicate current sort direction
  • Multi-Sort: Hold Shift and click additional columns

Filtering Lists ​

  • Filter Icons: Click to open filter options
  • Quick Filters: Use preset filter buttons
  • Clear Filters: Remove all active filters

Page Navigation ​

Some pages show breadcrumb navigation:

  • Shows your current location
  • Click any level to go back
  • Useful for nested sections

Page Controls ​

  • Refresh: Updates current view
  • Print: Opens print dialog
  • Export: Downloads data (if available)
  • Settings: Adjusts view preferences

Common Navigation Patterns ​

Opening an Account ​

  1. Select an account list tab
  2. Find the account using search or scrolling
  3. Click the account row
  4. Account details load in main area

Switching Between Accounts ​

  1. Use arrow buttons to move sequentially
  2. Or use search to jump directly
  3. Or click Back to return to list

Working with Tabs ​

  1. Click a tab to view its content
  2. Information loads in the tab area
  3. Use buttons within tab for actions
  4. Switch tabs without losing changes

Loading Indicators ​

  • Spinner: Data is loading
  • Progress Bar: Long operations
  • Disabled Buttons: Operation in progress

Error States ​

  • Red Highlights: Invalid fields
  • Error Messages: Appear near problems
  • Toast Notifications: System messages

Tips for Efficient Navigation ​

Quick Access ​

  • Pin frequently used tabs
  • Use keyboard shortcuts
  • Set up custom filters
  • Bookmark important searches

Performance ​

  • Close unused tabs
  • Clear old filters
  • Limit search results
  • Use specific searches

Troubleshooting Navigation ​

Can't find an account:

  • Check active filters
  • Verify search spelling
  • Try different search terms
  • Check account assignment

Slow navigation:

  • Clear browser cache
  • Check internet connection
  • Reduce open tabs
  • Contact support if persistent

Lost your place:

  • Use browser back button
  • Check recent accounts
  • Return to main list
  • Use breadcrumbs if available
