Work By
Overview
The Work By feature provides a flexible way to filter and select accounts based on various criteria. Use it to create focused work queues based on status, balance, client, location, and other factors.

Accessing Work By
Click the Work By tab in the top navigation. This opens a filter dialog where you can select your filtering criteria.
Filter Options
The Work By dialog provides the following filter options:
| Filter | Description |

| Status | Filter by account status |
| Current Balance | Filter by balance range (between two amounts) |
| Client | Filter by specific client |
| Portfolio | Filter by portfolio assignment |
| State | Filter by debtor's state |
| Time Zone | Filter by time zone (shows current local time) |
| Last Worked | Filter by last activity date |
Using Work By Filters
- Click the Work By tab
- Select a filter type from the dropdown
- Enter or select your filter criteria
- Click Open to load matching accounts
- Use Previous/Next to navigate through filtered accounts
Balance Range Example
To find accounts between $1,000 and $5,000:
- Select "Current Balance"
- Enter 1000 in the first field
- Enter 5000 in the second field
- Click Open
Time Zone Filtering
When filtering by time zone:
- Each option shows the current local time in that zone
- Useful for calling during appropriate hours
Work Dates
Work dates are a separate feature for scheduling follow-ups on individual accounts.
Setting a Work Date
- Open an account
- Click the calendar icon or Work Date option in the account toolbar
- Select a date (today or future)
- Click Save
Viewing Accounts by Work Date
Use the Calendar tab to see accounts with scheduled work dates:
- Click the Calendar tab
- Select a date from the calendar
- View accounts scheduled for that date
- Select accounts and click Open to work them
When viewing "Today" in the calendar, it shows all accounts with work dates up to and including today.
Removing a Work Date
- Open the account
- Click the calendar icon or Work Date option
- Click Remove
Common Use Cases
Working by Client
Filter accounts for a specific client:
- Select "Client" filter
- Choose the client from the dropdown
- Open to view only that client's accounts
Geographic Targeting
Work accounts by location:
- Select "State" filter
- Choose a state
- Open to view accounts in that state
Balance-Based Prioritization
Focus on high-balance accounts:
- Select "Current Balance" filter
- Set minimum balance (e.g., 5000)
- Leave maximum blank for "and above"
- Open to view high-balance accounts
Following Up on Stale Accounts
Find accounts not worked recently:
- Select "Last Worked" filter
- Set a date in the past
- Open to view accounts last worked before that date
Tips for Using Work By
- Use multiple filter sessions to create varied work queues
- Combine with the Calendar for time-based follow-ups
- Set work dates on accounts that need future follow-up
- Check the Calendar tab at the start of each day
Troubleshooting
No accounts returned:
- Verify filter criteria isn't too restrictive
- Check that matching accounts are assigned to you
- Try broadening the filter range
Filter not working as expected:
- Clear the filter and try again
- Verify you selected the correct filter type
- Check that the criteria values are valid
