Hot List

Overview

The Hot List displays accounts that have been marked as high priority. These are accounts that require immediate attention or have been flagged for urgent follow-up.

Accessing the Hot List

Click the Hot List tab in the top navigation. This opens a dialog showing all accounts currently marked as hot.

The dialog displays:

• File Number
• Debtor Name
• Current Balance
• Status
• Hot Comments (reason for hot listing)

Working the Hot List

1. Click the Hot List tab to open the dialog
2. Review accounts in the paginated list
3. Select one or more accounts you want to work
4. Click Open to load the selected accounts

Use Previous/Next buttons to navigate between loaded accounts.

Marking Accounts as Hot

To add an account to the Hot List:

1. Open the account you want to mark as hot
2. Click the Set Hot button (fire icon) in the action toolbar
3. Optionally add a comment explaining why the account is hot
4. Click Set

The fire icon turns red to indicate the account is now on the Hot List.

Removing from Hot List

To remove an account from the Hot List:

1. Open the hot-listed account
2. Click the Set Hot button (shows red fire icon)
3. The dialog displays "Remove from Hot List"
4. Click Remove

The hot status and any comments are cleared.

Hot List Indicators

When viewing an account that is on the Hot List:

• The Set Hot button displays a red fire icon
• Hot comments are visible in the Hot List dialog

When to Use the Hot List

Common reasons to hot list an account:

• Promise to pay today
• High-value payment opportunity
• New skip trace information received
• Time-sensitive matter requiring immediate attention
• Special client request

Best Practices

• Keep the Hot List focused on truly urgent items
• Review and clear the Hot List regularly
• Add meaningful comments when hot listing accounts
• Remove accounts promptly after resolving the priority issue

Troubleshooting

Can't add to hot list:

• Verify you have permission to modify the account
• Check that the account is assigned to you

Hot list dialog is empty:

• No accounts are currently marked as hot
• Verify you have permission to view hot accounts
