Account Details Overview
Account management in DebtRecoup involves viewing and working with individual account records. This section explains how to access and use the various features available when managing a single account.
Account Layout
When you open an account, the interface displays three main areas:
Information Cards
Three cards display key account data:
Debtor Info Card:
- Name, SSN, birth date
- Time zone with live clock
- Primary phone, address, email
Account Identity Card:
- File number, account number
- Client and portfolio
- Creditor and debt type
- Assigned collector
Account Summary Card:
- Current and original balance
- Paid to date and principal
- Date opened and charged off
- Last payment and last worked dates
Tab Panel
The left side contains tabs for detailed information:
- Debtor (with sub-tabs for phones, employer, addresses, etc.)
- Custom Fields
- Communication
- Payments
- Co-Debtors
- Other Accounts
- Documents
- Log
Notes Panel
The right side displays account notes with an option to add new notes.
Action Toolbar
The toolbar provides quick access to common functions:

Additional options available through menus:
- Set as Good Number
- Set as Skip
Status Display
- Current status shown with color coding
- Click the pencil icon next to status to change it
- Status affects account handling and workflows
Working with Account Data
Viewing Information
- Information displays across the three cards
- Click tabs to view detailed information
- Use sub-tabs within Debtor tab for specific data
Editing Information
- Look for pencil icons next to editable fields
- Click to open an edit dialog
- Make changes and save
Editable fields include:
- Debtor name, SSN, birth date, email
- File number, account number
- Creditor information
- Various dates
Adding Notes
- Click the + Note button in the Notes panel
- Type your note content
- Press Ctrl+Enter (or Cmd+Enter on Mac) to save
Account Navigation
Moving Between Accounts
- Use the arrow buttons (< >) in the header to move between accounts
- The pagination indicator shows your position (e.g., "1 of 42")
- Click the pagination indicator to open a list of accounts
Within an Account
- Click tabs to switch between different views
- Use sub-tabs within the Debtor tab for specific information
- Scroll within sections to see all content
Debtor Tab Sub-Sections
The Debtor tab contains sub-tabs for detailed information:

Common Tasks
Changing Status
- Click the pencil icon next to the status display
- Select the new status
- Confirm the change
Adding a Phone Number
- Go to Debtor tab > Phone #s sub-tab
- Click the add button
- Enter phone details and save
Updating Contact Information
- Locate the field in the appropriate card or tab
- Click the pencil icon
- Update the information in the dialog
- Save changes
Activity Log
The Log tab tracks all account activity:
- Timestamp of each action
- User who performed the action (or "System")
- Description of what occurred
Troubleshooting
Can't edit fields:
- Check that you have edit permissions
- Verify the account is assigned to you
- Some fields may be read-only based on account status
Missing data:
- Check the appropriate tab or sub-tab
- Refresh the page if data seems outdated
